Contentment | A State of Happiness

Laila Abramjee

Having been in the educational field for over 10 years, I noticed that sometimes children want to be seen, listened to, and loved. There are many children who struggle to find contentment during their monotonous days, in their home lives, and at school.

My journey as an educator, coding instructor, and private tutor made me interested to explore the world of counseling. I completed a counseling course and a trauma counseling course. I volunteered as an adult counselor as well. However, it dawned on me that if we help children be more conscious, confident, capable, and content from a younger age, we won’t breed children who require counseling and more extreme intervention later on in life.

I pictured a world where teachers could have the solution for parents who asked the question, “How can I help my child?” The vivid image of children who are content and who feel contentment drove me to pursue a life coaching course as well. It was then that I decided that I could combine my experience as an English educator, counselor, coding instructor, and life coach in order to create moments of contentment in the lives of children. I could perhaps be the solution that many parents yearned for.

Attaining contentment or a state of happiness is surely a journey that I intend to embark on with children. Together, we can find those subtle nuances of contentment that make life more bearable and content!

Now is our time to create conscious, confident, capable, and content children. Let us journey together to help our children find contentment!
